Table Thai Massage – Prone - 10/3/08 and 10/10/08, 9AM-5PM
This class focuses on Thai Massage techniques to be performed on a prone client on a standard massage table.

Thai Massage, also known as ‘Thai Yoga Massage’ or ‘assisted yoga’ has become a very popular modality because of its therapeutic benefits for the client (increased flexibility, stimulation of internal organs, relief of muscular and joint tension, balancing of the energy system, deep sense of well-being), but also because of the benefits that it provides for the therapist: less wear and tear on the therapist’s body, improved marketability, ability to reach clients who prefer to be clothed during treatments, reduced operating costs, to name a few.

Most Thai Massage classes teach techniques that are performed on the floor, on a clothed client. This class takes those techniques and brings them to the massage table. The client can incorporate the techniques in a traditional massage treatment or perform them as a standalone Thai Massage session based on the clients’ needs. This class counts as 16 Continuing Education hours for the purpose of Massage License renewal in the State of Illinois.
